My Story

About Me

A life lived between cultures, shaped by curiosity, and grounded in the things that matter.

Between Three Worlds

I was born and raised in Malmö, Sweden — a city of long winter silences and summer light that lasts all night. My father came from southern Dalmatia — from Metković, a small city on the Neretva delta, and the Pelješac peninsula — and every summer we would make the journey south, where the stone is warm and the sea is so clear you can count the pebbles twenty feet below. My mother brought Hungary into our home: its warmth, its cuisine, its particular way of loving fiercely and speaking plainly.

Growing up at this crossroads gave me something I've come to treasure: the ability to see situations from multiple angles, to navigate different cultural registers, and to find common ground between perspectives that might seem irreconcilable. It's a skill that has served me in boardrooms and at negotiating tables alike.

"The world is not divided by borders but by the stories we tell ourselves about each other."

My Education

I pursued studies in international conflict resolution, drawn by a fascination with how people — and nations — find their way through disagreement to understanding. Understanding the structures of conflict, negotiation, and diplomacy gave me analytical tools that I carry with me everywhere.

I complemented this with an MBA, building the business acumen to match the strategic thinking I'd developed. Together, these two disciplines give me a distinctive lens: I think in systems, but I never forget the human beings at the center of any organization or negotiation.

My Professional Journey

My career has taken me across several industries and disciplines, each one deepening my understanding of how organizations work and how people within them thrive or struggle.

As an event coordinator, I learned the discipline of execution: that beautiful moments don't happen by accident, they are built from thousands of carefully managed details. As a market researcher in the insurance sector, I developed a rigorous analytical practice, learning to ask the right questions and read what the data is actually saying beneath the surface. As a project manager, I discovered the art of keeping diverse teams aligned toward a shared goal — which turns out to draw heavily on everything I studied about conflict resolution. And as a financial analyst, I sharpened the discipline of numbers: modeling scenarios, forecasting outcomes, and turning complexity into clear decisions.

Across all of these roles, the throughline has been a love of understanding deeply, communicating clearly, and making things work.

Life Outside Work

Every summer, I return to Dalmatia. There is a particular bay on Pelješac I know, where the water is the color of aquamarine and the pines come down to the shore. I swim there until I'm tired and then I read in the shade, and the hours pass the way they should — slowly, with pleasure. The whole coast around Metković and Pelješac has this quality: a stillness that feels ancient, unhurried, deeply itself.

I love to read: novels, mostly, but also history and ideas. I love to write: the act of putting experience into words is how I understand it. I love Pošip, the white wine from the Dalmatian islands — dry and mineral and tasting faintly of the sea. And I love lavender: its color, its scent, the way it turns an ordinary afternoon into something almost sacred.

I believe that a life well-lived is made of small, beautiful things attended to with full attention.
